Red Flour Beetle (Triboliums)
Red flour beetles (Triboliums) are pests that live in stored areas and within stored products such as dry food products like vegetables, dried fruits, spices and flour. The two most common species of red flour beetles (triboliums) are the brown tribolium and red tribolium. They are very small, reddish-brown insects whose antennae differ from one beetle to the next. Adults can be 3 to 4 mm long. Because of their very small size, a magnifying glass is needed to distinguish the differences between brown tribolium and red tribolium.
